Reports to an assigned Licensed Certified Social Worker.Responsible for assessing the needs of clients and providing counseling or referral to appropriate community service agencies.May provide clinical supervision to social work students.Incumbents may be assigned to specific clinical specialty.Provides relevant input in the development of new Social Work services, and/or improvements to health care delivery systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in social work.
Work Experience:Less than six months of previous experience.
1 year of child experience preferred.
Bilingual experience preferred
School experience preferred
Must pass CPS background check
Shift:Days, Full time (40 hours per week)
7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Work Location:Satellite/City School
Must be willing to work in community.
Required Licensure, Certification:
Current state licensure as LGSW required.
DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Trauma focused training preferred
Must have Driver’s License, less than two points (required)
Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
